AMU member since 1986 and currently Chairman of the Scottish Branch.

Having served a 6 years apprenticeship with an old established, Edinburgh based, traditional upholstery company, James moved on to work for a variety of designers, gaining further experience as a cutter, fitter and estimator in the soft furnishing fields of the trade.
He became self employed in 1983 and combined with 10 years teaching traditional upholstery at night school, has 37 years experience as a craftsman.

Our attitude as a company is a hands on approach and personal attention is given to each and every commission employing traditional upholstery techniques and using only the highest quality materials available.
